Our first ...graders celebrated the 100th day of school with a cereal box domino run—lining up 107 boxes (counting by tens) before watching them topple! 🙌 But the best part? Giving back! All the cereal was donated to @riverdaleneighborhoodhouse and the KCI Food Pantry to help families in need. ❤️

Last night, 6th graders and their parents ...gathered in the SAR Academy Beit Midrash for our annual 6th Grade Gemara Night! Our students received their first masechet of Shas—Mazal tov!

Partnered in chevruta learning, families shared a meaningful evening of Torah study and connection, as our students showcased their dedication and growth while exploring the depths of Gemara alongside their parents.

This year, our Beit Midrash learning was dedicated to the speedy return of the shvuyim, the success and safety of our chayalim and chayalot, and the ilui neshamot of those we have lost in the war.

May our Torah learning bring light, strength, and protection to Am Yisrael!

Those words became Abby Marcus’ ...(AC '06) motto on October 9th, when she began a mission to support Israeli soldiers. What started as a simple act of collecting supplies quickly turned into a full-scale operation, fueled by an unshakable sense of purpose.

Abby didn’t just deliver essentials—she delivered connection, strength, and unwavering support to our chayalim and helped our community feel like they were doing something to help at a time when most felt powerless.

At SAR, we believe that chesed is more than just a value—it’s a responsibility. And in this next feature of our Stories of Strength and Impact, we hope you’ll see how Abby embodies this spirit, reminding us all that when you lead with heart and purpose, you don’t just help—you inspire and unite.

🎉🏆 Triple Win for SAR at the Bracha Bowl! 🏆🎉

What an ...incredible day at the 3rd Annual Inter-School Bracha Bowl! Our 3rd-5th Grade Bracha Bee champs—Isabella S. (Gr. 3), Caleb N. (Gr. 4), Dael E. (Gr. 5), Eitan K-R. (Gr. 5), David S. (Gr. 5), and Aryeh Z. (Gr. 5)—took on 12 other day schools in a fierce competition.

And guess what? We brought home 1st place—for the third year in a row! 🥇✨

After the event, all participants gathered on stage to sing "Acheinu" and enjoyed and bonded over a delicious pizza lunch!

Meanwhile, back at school, our student body tuned in during breaks, cheering on their classmates with unmatched energy!

As the winning team, we had the amazing opportunity to meet with Rabbi Senter from Kof-K Kosher Supervision! Team SAR sat around the Kof-K conference table and learned all about kosher supervision of the Kof-K and about their supervision at Carvel and Cinnabon—our next stop!

Then it was back to school for an epic victory parade through the building! What a day to celebrate!

Huge kol hakavod to our amazing team for their hard work and preparation, and a big shoutout to all the competitors and organizers for an exciting and spirited event!

Today, Rabbi Moskowitz led SAR Academy 8th graders on a meaningful Chesed Trip ...to the KCI Kosher Food Pantry at SAR High School! Our students worked together to package food and essential groceries for individuals and families in need. The KCI Food Pantry is an integral part of our community, providing meals to local families and creating impactful chesed opportunities for our students.
