Building Fund Pledge –

SAR High School $4,000 per family (payable $1,000/year)

SAR Academy $4,000 per family (payable $1,000/year starting when the oldest child is in kindergarten or older)

SAR Scholarship Application – 2027–2028 School Year

SAR uses a single, unified scholarship application hosted through ParentLocker. Families will complete one application, and all required documents will be uploaded directly within ParentLocker. There is a $50 submission fee through ParentLocker.

Document Submission Requirements

All documents must be uploaded directly within the ParentLocker application.
The following families are required to submit items 3–8 listed below:

  • Families applying for financial assistance for the first time, and
  • Families whose oldest child will be entering Kindergarten, Grade 3, Grade 6, Grade 9, or Grade 11 in 2027–2028.

Required Documentation
(to be submitted on ParentLocker)

 

  1. 2025 and 2026 Federal & State Tax Returns
    Complete Form 1040, including all schedules, W-2s, 1099s, and state returns for both spouses, including copies of cancelled checks for taxes paid.
  2. If Self-Employed / Partner / Shareholder
    Business tax returns for the past two years.
  3. Year-End Mortgage Statement
    Plus the most recent monthly mortgage statement for all properties owned.
  4. Most Recent Property Tax Bill
    For all properties owned.
  5. Lease Documentation 
    Copy of current lease and most recent cancelled rent check.
  6. Bank Account Statements
    Statements for all accounts covering the 12 months prior to submission, including thumbnail check images.
  7. Brokerage Statements
    Year-end statements and the most recent monthly or quarterly statements for all brokerage accounts.
  8. Credit Card / Store Card Statements
    Either 2026 year-end summary statements or 12 months of statements for each card.
  9. Signed IRS Form 4506 (Request for Transcript of Tax Return — no fee required)

By submitting the application, families authorize SAR to obtain and review their credit report during the scholarship evaluation process.

Pay it Forward Scholarship Policy

Scholarships awarded by SAR are moral scholarships. Families who receive scholarship assistance are expected, when financially able in the future, to support the SAR Scholarship Fund and repay scholarship amounts to the best of their ability.

Deadlines & Notification Timeline

  • Final Deadline for Complete Applications:
    April 15, 2027
    Applications will not be reviewed until all required documentation is submitted.
  • New SAR High School Applicants:
    Families who submit completed scholarship applications by January 15, 2027 will receive scholarship decisions in February, along with admissions decisions.

Scholarship decisions made prior to receipt of 2026 tax returns are provisional. 2026 tax returns must be submitted by April 15, 2027 for scholarship awards to be finalized.

2027-2028 SAR 2-YEAR NURSERY, 3-YEAR NURSERY, and 4-YEAR NURSERY

TUITION ACCESSIBILITY GRANT (TAG)

Offering a Limited Number of $5,000 Tuition Grants to students in 2-year, 3-year or 4-year nursery.

We are pleased to announce an SAR Tuition Accessibility Grant (TAG) for the 2027-28 school year. The SAR TAG initiative is specifically targeted to address the tuition burden of families who are struggling with the high cost of day school education. Although for many that challenge is addressed by need-based scholarships, there is a segment of our community that does not qualify for traditional financial assistance, but still struggles to pay full tuition. TAG is designed to provide tuition relief for these families.

All SAR families who meet the eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply. Families who meet the eligibility requirements will receive a tuition grant ($5,000 for a student in 2-year, 3-year or 4-year nursery) to be applied against their tuition charges at SAR for the 2027-28 school year.

ELIGIBILITY

  • The grant applies specifically to students who will be enrolled in the 2-year nursery, 3-year nursery, or 4-year nursery for the 2027-28 school year.
  • New applicants to the school as well as existing students are eligible to apply for the grant.
  • The adjusted gross income of applicant families may not exceed $275,000.
  • Families who do not meet the income cutoff may be eligible for the grant if they have other extraordinary or atypical expenses.
  • Only applicants who are in good financial standing and who in the absence of this grant would be paying full tuition are eligible to apply for the grant. The grant cannot be combined with any other financial assistance, affordability grant or discount.
  • Completed applications will be reviewed and grants awarded, in the order they are received. Only the first 25 qualified applicants will be guaranteed to receive a grant.
  • Grant applications will only be considered for current SAR students once they have completed pre-registration for the 2027-28 school year.
  • Grant applications will be considered for prospective SAR students in parallel with their application for admission to the school.
  • Families that do not complete the 2027-28 registration process by the deadline will forfeit any grant that was awarded.

APPLYING

Parents who wish to apply for TAG must complete the ParentLocker application here: https://sar.parentlocker.com/tuition-accessibility-grant-2N-4N-27-28-form/ and submit with the first two pages of their 2025 or 2026 IRS Form 1040 by February 17, 2027.

All submissions will be reviewed by SAR’s Executive Director, Debra May. Only the first 25 qualified applicants will be guaranteed to receive a grant. For families that qualify for a grant award: Provided that registration for 2027-28 is completed on or before the deadline for submission, a tuition credit in the amount of the grant being offered will be applied to the family’s account.
