The SAR Capital Campaign continues to move forward, and we are grateful for the partnership of our donors every step of the way. As of Summer ’26, we’ve raised $27.2 million toward our goal of $45 million. We’re deeply grateful for this support and look forward to having new partners join us, to help bring all the projects of this campaign to life. Here’s a look at what we’ve done to date, and what’s to come.
SAR ACADEMY: EXPANDING TO INCLUDE A NEW HOME FOR YOUNG LEARNERS
A cornerstone project of this campaign includes a meaningful expansion of SAR Academy’s Lower School – a development reflecting the needs of our community and our responsibility to provide every SAR student with a very special environment from their very first days at SAR.
Situated at the southwest corner of the current SAR Academy building, this purpose-built addition will connect seamlessly to our existing Lower School building across multiple levels, creating a fully integrated experience for students, faculty, and families.
The 25,000 SQ. FT. expansion includes:
10 new classrooms across two floors, ranging from 520 to 600 square feet each—sized for the active, hands-on learning that defines the early SAR years
9 dedicated common and lounge spaces on each floor, designed to encourage collaboration, connection, and the kind of informal learning that happens between classes
A new basketball court and an expanded playground—giving our youngest students the outdoor space they need to move, play, and grow
A faculty day care center, conveniently located where it will be most accessible to the staff who rely on it, supporting the outstanding educators who make SAR what it is
TRANSFORMING SAR HIGH SCHOOL
The Bold Future campaign will revitalize 22,000 square feet of existing space and add 56,000 square feet of new construction at the High School. These enhancements will directly impact our students’ academic, spiritual, social, and physical development.
Key projects include:
25% increase in classrooms for smoother transitions and flexible learning.
Two new Batei Midrash, including a dedicated Sephardic space, for prayer, study, and reflection.
A cutting-edge Engineering and Innovation Lab.
Dedicated Centers for Arts and Music.
Expanded athletic facilities including a new gym, full-size hockey rink, and basketball court
Enhanced faculty work environment, including spaces for professional development
