🌟 A Star-Studded Event: Third Grade’s Wacky Wax Museum! 🌟
Did ...you know Simone Biles taught herself to flip off a mailbox? Or that Derek Jeter had to sign a contract with his dad to finish his homework before playing baseball? 🤯
This week, our third graders brought history to life at the Annual Wacky Wax Museum! 🎭✨ Dressed as famous figures, they stood perfectly still—until visitors "activated" them with a special action! 🏆 From Amelia Earhart’s bright yellow airplane to a giant inflatable baseball bat, the creativity was off the charts!
This year’s lineup included Eli Cohen, Ringo Starr, Ruth Handler, JFK, Noah Lyles, Estée Lauder, and more! Each student shared inspiring messages, like:
💡 “True power isn’t just wearing a crown, but being a loving, kind person.”
💡 “Take a shot. If you miss, get the rebound and shoot again.”
Through this interactive journey, students learned that determination & perseverance pave the way to greatness!

Smiles, stories, and sweet moments! Yesterday, grandparents, grand-aunts, and ...grand-uncles joined us this morning for a joyous Purim celebration at our Join the Joy ELC Grandparents Day—complete with a magical Hebrew play performed by our incredible Ivrit faculty, heartfelt songs, and, of course, delicious hamantashen!
Did you know 90% of Israeli businesses are small to medium-sized?
Our... 5th-8th grade students learned about this and the power of interest-free loans through an engaging program with SparkIL, an innovative platform that empowers individuals to support struggling small Israeli businesses.
Afterward, each student selected a business to support with a $36 impact loan provided by SparkIL, helping entrepreneurs in Israel overcome the challenges they've faced since October 7.
Now, parents, it’s your turn to make a difference!
Join us in supporting Israeli entrepreneurs—let's make this a school-wide movement!

On Power of Words day, we reflect on the profound impact our words have on the ...world around us. In memory of Matthew Fenster z"l, we come together year to year to remind ourselves of the importance of Shmirat Lashon – guarding our speech.
Matt's legacy challenges us to remember that every conversation, whether casual or serious, carries weight.
Together, we commit to not just avoiding lashon hara, harmful speech, but also actively choosing words that uplift.
Mazal tov, Kitot 1V & 1W on receiving your siddurim! It was a privilege to ...gather with families as we celebrated our first graders’ dedication and preparation which were evident as they performed their First Grade Siddur Play, filled with beautiful songs and heartfelt moments. 🎤
The theme of the play, “ואני תפילה” (I am prayer), came alive as each child reflected on a word they daven for, creating individual artwork to build a stunning wall of tefilot on stage.
We hope today marks just the beginning of a meaningful connection between our first graders and their siddurim.
