CHESED INITIATIVE IN THE 8TH GRADE

The 8th Grade Community Engagement Kehila Initiative provides a volunteer experience for each of our students outside of school. We have curated partnerships, in collaboration with parent volunteers, with a range of organizations that will provide meaningful, interactive and direct service opportunities. These organizations represent various populations including supporting people who are elderly, homeless, food insecure, neuro-diverse and others. Throughout this timeframe, the students will share their reflections and also learn from other community members about how community engagement has inspired or supported them. When the students culminate their volunteering, they will present their reflections to the younger students in the Middle School. We are confident that our students will gain even more than they give in this experience.
