As we emerge from Yom Kippur, we're reminded of the power of our voices, ...raised in prayer, in hope, and together as a community.

Just before Shabbat, our students stood outside Gracie Mansion alongside peers from Ramaz and Park East and members of the wider community. They shared personal words of hope and led us in tefila, song, and joyous dancing.

It was a moment of Jewish pride and unity, and a message we carry with us into the year ahead: We are proud to be Jewish. Proud to be New Yorkers. And proud to stand together.

May this year be one of peace, hope, and strength for our community, for Israel, and for Am Yisrael. Shana Tova.

Our students raised their voices in beautiful tefila and sweet shira on the ...streets of New York City, outside Gracie Mansion, proud of their Jewish identity and proud of their solidarity with Israel. We could not be more proud of them. Gmar Chatima Tova.

This morning, our students stood outside Gracie Mansion and davened out loud, ...together with peers from Ramaz, Park East, KJ, Romemu, and the wider community.

Two days before Yom Kippur, they came to the city on school buses, to pray, to sing, and to say something simple: we are proud to be Jewish, and proud to be New Yorkers.

Eighth grader Annie C. told the crowd, "I want to feel safe being openly Jewish in my city. I want to be able to wear my Magen David, go to synagogue, and go to school without being afraid."

Senior Stella Z. closed her remarks with this: "Being proud to be Jewish here doesn't mean standing apart from this city. It means adding our voice to a place that was built on exactly that."

For the students who rallied together today, the morning was about pride and belonging. It gave them a chance to be visibly, proudly Jewish in the city they call home, as the new year begins, and we are so proud of them.

We’re buzzing into the... year with lots of ruach and plenty of Sting spirit! There’s so much to look forward to; new experiences, friendships, connections, and moments of growth. Here’s to a sweet start, dreaming big, and making this a year to BEE proud of.

Yesterday, our students and faculty gathered on the steps, as we do every year,... to make sure that distance in time does not become distance in meaning. While none of them can personally remember September 11, they understand the importance of not forgetting.

We were privileged to welcome Officer Montecino from our local precinct, reminding us of those who ran toward danger that day, and of the heroes who continue to protect us every day, making it possible for us to live freely, practice our religion openly, gather as a community, and feel safe.

We said Tehillim, prayed for the memory of all who perished, heard beautiful reflections from our students, and marked the enduring connection between the U.S. and Israel, praying for the safety of our American and Israeli soldiers.

Yehi zichram baruch. May the memories of all who were lost be a blessing.
