Standing with Dr. Effie Shoham, Father of Staff Sergeant Yuval Shoham z”l

SAR Academy had the honor of welcoming Dr. Effie Shoham, father of Staff Sergeant Yuval Shoham z”l, as students and faculty gathered on the steps to honor Yuval’s memory. Yuval was tragically killed in Gaza this past December at the age of 22, making the ultimate sacrifice in defense of Am Yisrael and Medinat Yisrael.

As Dr. Shoham addressed the students, faculty, and staff, and led all in Tehillim, the personal significance of the visit was clear; it was a privilege to welcome him back to a place where Yuval had spent part of his childhood as a third-grade student in 2010-2011.

The SAR community stands with Oshrat and Effie, and holds their family in our hearts. May Yuval’s memory be a blessing. יהי זכרו ברוך.
