SAR Academy Welcomes Students Back!

SAR Academy welcomed students back for the 2023-24 academic year! The past couple of weeks have been jam-packed with learning and activities in the ELC, Lower School and Middle School. Leading up to the first day of school, orientations included class visits, and a chance to meet teachers, other students and their families. Our first-grade families were welcomed for a very special SAR tradition – the 1st Grade Tallit Ceremony. This special tallit is embroidered with the names of each of our students. As the SAR first graders sat under the tallit, our students were given brachot by their parents who will see them walk under this very same tallit at their Siddur, Chumash, and Navi plays — it will travel with them throughout their SAR journey. On the first day of school the building was abuzz with excitement and learning. Last Friday, Rabbi Krauss welcomed new students to the SAR community at our annual “New Student Ice Cream with the Principal Party.” Sunday’s ELC Back-To-School Family event, organized by our Parent Association, was a blast and included inflatables and a reptile show. Thank you to the incredible team of SAR faculty and staff members for their hard work in creating an amazing start to the school year. We can not wait to see what this year has in store!
