Here’s the Latest @ SAR
SAR students are taught that advocacy isn’t reserved for adults, that their ...voices matter, and that choosing Jewish identity means choosing pride and courage.
At SAR’s 57th Anniversary Dinner on February 1st, we will mark the 40th anniversary of Natan Sharansky’s release after 13 years in Soviet prison for the “crime” of living openly as a Jew. His courage, faith, and refusal to surrender his identity embody the meaning of U’Vacharta B’Chaim — Choose Life.
Together we honor not only a defining moment in Jewish history, but a blueprint for our students today: to speak up, lead with moral clarity, and choose Jewish life with purpose.

Honoring Those Who Choose Life Through Service!
Every day this week, ...as we gathered as a school community to light the Chanukiah, we paused to honor members of our community whose actions reflect courage, responsibility, and deep commitment to Am Yisrael.
We were proud to recognize our chayalim and their families, whose sacrifices, strength, and quiet resilience protect Medinat Yisrael every day. Behind every soldier is a family carrying the weight of service with love, faith, and support.
They show our students what it truly means to live the values of U’Vacharta B’Chaim — Choosing Life: standing up for others, shouldering responsibility, and acting with purpose even when it is hard.
May their courage be a source of strength and inspiration for our entire community. 💙 🇮🇱
Thank you to the Academy Choir and Simply Tzfat for helping bring great energy and music to the building for another very special afternoon.
