Never is Now!
Dr. Caryn Keller, SAR history teacher, Ms. Adina Shoulson, History Department Chair, and Ms. Gloria Schneider, Director of General Studies, accompanied 17 students to the ADL’s Never is Now Conference. Students learned about combating anti-semitism and all forms of hate by attending workshops about social media, disinformation, and empowering allies.
Attorney General Merrick Garland shared moving words about his family’s experience, and the role that the United States played in saving his family and offering them a safe haven in which to thrive. The students joined with nearly 1,000 other high school students to learn about these important topics and left the conference armed with practical tools for responding to anti-semitism and hate.
