IDF Paratroopers Visit SAR Academy

Our fourth and fifth graders were privileged to hear from Eliah Levkovitz and Gil Schlesinger two IDF paratroopers who shared their firsthand experiences using drones to safeguard our soldiers. They shared with us their brave experience going from combat in the early days following October 7 in Otef Aza to spending 57 days in Khan Younis.

They recapped for students their day-to-day experiences and how they pioneered the use of privately funded drones, a technology that has since been adopted by numerous other units. These drones have proven instrumental in detecting booby traps and other threats, significantly enhancing the safety of our troops.

We are so grateful for their commitment to keeping Am Yisrael and Medinat Yisrael safe during this challenging time.
