SAR Academy On the Steps
When the feeling is palpable and it’s finally put into words. On Tuesday, ...when Rachel and Jon walked into this building and onto the steps, we were flooded with the emotion of how deeply connected we felt to her and to Jon, to their pain, to Hirsch’s story, and to the many, many words of inspiration that they have shared over the past two and a half years. Coming together with our students was indeed a holy moment for all of us as their tefilot, their voices, their hearts strengthen us all. May we all go into Shabbat holding onto this. Shabbat Shalom. @bring.hersh.home @kraussb
From remembrance to celebration.
At SAR, the transition from Yom ...HaZikaron to Yom Ha'atzmaut is always one of the most powerful moments of the year. We move from honoring the sacrifices that made Medinat Yisrael possible to celebrating the strength, resilience, and joy of the Israel we love and value.
As the siren fades and the celebration begins, our students are reminded that these two days are forever connected…that Israel’s independence was built on courage, sacrifice, and incredible resilience.
Am Yisrael Chai. 🇮🇱 And Shabbat Shalom!!
Gratulationes vobis omnibus facimus! (We congratulate you all!) ...🏆🏅📝
Our students participated in the nationwide Latin assessment, the National Latin Exam (NLE). The exam evaluates students’ understanding of Latin grammar and vocabulary, as well as their knowledge of cultural, historical, and geographical aspects of daily life in Ancient Rome.
Eight SAR students took the exam and achieved outstanding results: six gold medals, one silver, and one bronze. Notably, three of the six gold medalists earned perfect scores.
Additionally, SAR was also awarded a Certificate of Merit for its exceptional performance, and we hope this marks the beginning of many years of continued success on the NLE for our 11th grade and future 12th grade classes.
