Middle School Ultimate Frisbee Team Champions

By popular demand, SAR Academy formed its first-ever middle school ultimate frisbee team and they just made history by winning the NY Middle School Athletic League ultimate frisbee championship! In the final game, SAR beat Baruch 11 to 8 – a grand finale to an undefeated season involving 14 local public and private school teams. Thank you to SAR High School senior and first-time coach Boaz Shames (AC ‘19, HS ‘23) for guiding us in teamwork and sportsmanship and for leading us to victory. Mazal tov to players Aharon Brock, ZZ Cohen, Coby Fishkin, James Greenwald, Yakir Helfgot, Gilad Leiman, Yona Linden (MVP), Noam Maryles, Miles Packard, Yishai Pepper-Fox, Jonah Prager, Nathaniel R’bibo, Eli Rosen, Ezra Rotbard, Akiva Samet, and Lev Wechselblatt on a fantastic season. It was exciting to celebrate this win as a school community with a team parade throughout the school building.
