The Haggadah is filled with moments like this — where timeless messages can connect to our everyday lives, if we take a moment to notice.

Messages like these are what carry our children — and hopefully ourselves — long after the seder night ends.

This morning, our school community came together for a powerful virtual ...gathering, bridging the distance between the U.S. and Israel in real time as the war entered its 27th day.

Students gathered on the steps as voices from across the SAR family in Israel — former parents, faculty, students, and friends — shared firsthand accounts of daily life and the realities they are facing.

Their words offered a window into both the challenges and the extraordinary strength and resilience that have defined their days — no school, no work, in and out of shelters day after day.

As the community watched via livestream, students, faculty, and families were able to see and hear directly from those on the ground, creating a sense of closeness despite the physical distance.

Together, we paused, reflected, caught up a bit, and offered chizuk — drawing strength from one another and reinforcing the deep sense of unity that continues to bind SAR families everywhere. 🇮🇱 🇺🇸
