This morning we gathered on the steps to express ...gratitude for the safe return of the hostages: Agam Berger, Arbel Yehoud, Gadi Moses, Thenna Pongsak, Sathian Suwannakham, Sriaoun Watchara, Seathao Bannawat, and Rumnao Surasak.
In celebration of Agam’s homecoming, students wore braids tied with yellow ribbons as a tribute to her resilience and the quiet strength she showed during her time in captivity. Since November, we have learned that many returning hostages had their hair braided by Agam, as she offered support to others at the times of their release even while she remained behind.
Together, we recited Matir Assurim and were deeply moved as our third grade led us in Mizmor L’Todah, a song of gratitude, filling our school with love, thanks, and hope for those still waiting to come home.🎗️🎗️🎗️ 💛 💛 💛

Yesterday, our 8th grade launched the @namesnotnumbersorg program, joined by ...20 students from @atmosphereacademy. We were honored to welcome the program’s founder Mrs. Tova Rosenberg and special guest Jeffrey Salgo, a retired CBS News producer, who made the opening session unforgettable.
Through this project, students will research, interview, and film Holocaust survivors, learning from journalists and filmmakers to create a powerful documentary. The final film will honor both the survivors and the students’ work.
Good luck to our students as they embark on this meaningful journey.

In a true sense of unity, SAR HS's Kol Kaveret choir led by Rabbi Kenny ...Birnbaum joined together with Kol Ram, the Ramaz School's adult/community choir, for a heartwarming concert at the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale. Performing two pieces on their own -- Brother, featuring soloist Rocky T., and Talking to the Moon, with soloists Margot M. and Jonah P. -- as well as Latzeit Medika'om and Amen with the adult choir, the students really shined. Kol Hakavod to all!
