For the past two weeks, our students have been learning his story and reflecting on what it means to be a hero. Today, their lessons (and history) came alive on our steps as we welcomed Natan Sharansky to SAR Academy.
This morning, our students saw how courage turns into action and action becomes legacy. A moment we won’t forget. 💙

On Shabbat afternoon, Rabbi Krauss walked past Sharansky Square with Natan’s ...daughter Rachel Sharansky Danziger, seeing it for the first time. As a SAR student, he helped put up that sign across from the Russian mission, fighting for a man imprisoned thousands of miles away. Tonight at SAR, Rachel joins our community for a conversation.
