Everyone loves a challah bake! After learning the mitzvah of Challah from ...במדבר in class, Dr. Mitnick and Ms. Siegel’s 10th grade Tanakh classes had the opportunity to do הפרשת חלה themselves in a hands-on challah bake in school! Also this week, Ms. Schneider, Ms. Seidman-Wernick, and Ms. Simpson organized an annual challah bake with students who shared the meaningful experience of saying the מי שברך and ברכות together. May their תפילות lead to the quick release of all the hostages, the safety of all the chayalim, and good health for all the cholim.

In honor of Eliezer Ben Yehuda's birthday, students gathered in the Hebrew... lab with food, Israeli music, and games in Hebrew. The Russian-Jewish linguist and journalist compiled the first Hebrew dictionary and was the editor of HaZvi, one of the first Hebrew newspapers published in Israel. We are grateful to him for reviving the Hebrew language that Jews around the world use today. #onlyatthehive

We began with a heartfelt perek of Tehillim, praying for the safe and immediate return of all hostages.
