Learning at SAR
SAR is dedicated to the philosophy that every child possesses a divine spark, has unique worth as an individual, and should be encouraged to achieve according to his or her ability. Students are guided to take risks, to be creative, and to develop their academic skills. We believe learning happens both in and out of the classroom and open our students’ minds to history, literature, math, science, tefillah, gemara, and medinat yisrael – all through the lens of torah. Our learning environment promotes an open thinking, boundless energy, and a warm, inclusive atmosphere.
ELC
At the Early Learning Center (ELC), SAR’s school for children ages 2-6, we create a joyous and loving Jewish environment filled with experiential learning, passionate and nurturing teachers, Hebrew immersion, and STEAM-focused curricula.
Academy
In grades 1-8, we open our students’ minds to history, literature, math, science, tefillah, Medinat Yisrael–all through the lens of Torah. We nurture in our children the understanding that Torah informs who we are in all of our interactions, and how we hold ourselves in the world.

When the feeling is palpable and it’s finally put into words. On Tuesday, ...when Rachel and Jon walked into this building and onto the steps, we were flooded with the emotion of how deeply connected we felt to her and to Jon, to their pain, to Hirsch’s story, and to the many, many words of inspiration that they have shared over the past two and a half years. Coming together with our students was indeed a holy moment for all of us as their tefilot, their voices, their hearts strengthen us all. May we all go into Shabbat holding onto this. Shabbat Shalom. @bring.hersh.home @kraussb
From remembrance to celebration.
At SAR, the transition from Yom ...HaZikaron to Yom Ha'atzmaut is always one of the most powerful moments of the year. We move from honoring the sacrifices that made Medinat Yisrael possible to celebrating the strength, resilience, and joy of the Israel we love and value.
As the siren fades and the celebration begins, our students are reminded that these two days are forever connected…that Israel’s independence was built on courage, sacrifice, and incredible resilience.
Am Yisrael Chai. 🇮🇱 And Shabbat Shalom!!
Gratulationes vobis omnibus facimus! (We congratulate you all!) ...🏆🏅📝
Our students participated in the nationwide Latin assessment, the National Latin Exam (NLE). The exam evaluates students’ understanding of Latin grammar and vocabulary, as well as their knowledge of cultural, historical, and geographical aspects of daily life in Ancient Rome.
Eight SAR students took the exam and achieved outstanding results: six gold medals, one silver, and one bronze. Notably, three of the six gold medalists earned perfect scores.
Additionally, SAR was also awarded a Certificate of Merit for its exceptional performance, and we hope this marks the beginning of many years of continued success on the NLE for our 11th grade and future 12th grade classes.

Yom HaZikaron to Yom HaAzmaut
Yom HaAzmaut - Hallel On the Steps
Yom HaAtzmaut was one of the most special days at SAR, filled with nonstop ...ruach from beginning to end 🇮🇱
The day began with a powerful schoolwide tefillah chagigit, flowed into a rocking chagigah, and continued with Kochav Nolad, our annual talent show where students and faculty took the stage and truly shined.
We wrapped it all up at the park with great food, games, and time together!

🇮🇱 Yom Ha’atzmaut Sameach! 🇮🇱
What a day! We celebrated ...Israel’s 78th in school with nonstop ruach, simcha, and energy!
From a beautiful Musical Hallel on the Steps to an epic Chagigah on the Field, every moment was filled with joy. Our ELC students bounced their hearts out on the inflatables, the Lower School brought the spirit with an action-packed Maccabiah, and the Middle School kept the music alive with the Yossi Hershkovitz z״l Beit Sefer Lamusika.
Smiles, music, dancing, and so much pride—this is what it’s all about! And the best part? The celebrations aren’t over yet! 🇮🇱
