SAR High School

It's not just what you learn... it's who you become.

Part of the challenge of a modern Yeshiva is to create a sense of fusion between Torah learning, secular studies, and the culture at large. Building on the philosophy of the Academy, SAR High School has taken the model of a dynamic, open education to a new level — creating its own independent curriculum in which students are challenged to explore and master a broad range of subjects in both general and Judaic studies. All disciplines are viewed as part of a greater whole — reflecting a “Grand Conversation” between people, God, and the world.

On any given day at the High School, you can feel the energy and spirit of our students as they are meaningfully engaged in learning and davening, and as they are physically engaged in athletics, co-curriculars and chessed. We do much as community — it is how we learn, how we pray, how we help others around us. But as a school, we also take pride in how we help to foster the individual strengths and interests of our students. We offer many challenging programs and opportunities for students to grow and learn in areas of interest to them. Learn more about these special opportunities.

Our students come from a wide range of geographic locations. We have students from Connecticut, New York City, Riverdale, Westchester, New Jersey and Rockland County. Our students also come from a variety of elementary schools; while many are SAR Academy graduates, our students also include graduates of BiCultural, Ramaz Middle School, Manhattan Day School, Westchester Day School, Yavneh, and Solomon Schechter. We encourage and welcome new students to visit our school.

Join us for our Open House on Sunday, October 17, 2010 from 9:30AM-12:30PM. We look forward to greeting you!
